‘Tulips and Clementines’', is a vibrant painting full of colour and light. I was particularly interested in pattern and how the stripes of the tablecloth move across the painting.
The reflections in the mirror and teapot add further elements of pattern which create depth and movement. I particularly enjoy painting tulips as they move and bend as they unfurl in the vase. This creates a still life which is full of life and movement and you never know what is going to happen to the composition!
It is painted on board and measures 60cm x 50cm unframed.
