Golden Cup is a warm joyful still life painting which has a rich jewel like quality.
It is part of a series of paintings I created after visiting Charleston House in East Sussex which was the home of Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant. I was inspired by the simple domestic scenes and the feeling of rest and relaxation in the Charleston farmhouse.
